Dr. Spielman became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1992. Prior to joining the staff at VESCONE, Dr. Spielman was on staff at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital where she directed the internship for over a decade, supervising and mentoring over 125 interns as well as hundreds of veterinary students. She was director of the residency program, performing and teaching hundreds of veterinary students. She was director of the residency program, performing and teaching endoscopy. In addition she was responsible for diagnosing and treating complex medical cases.

Dr. Spielman’s professional interests include gastrointestinal endoscopy, and most all facets of veterinary internal medicine, including endocrine disorders, liver and renal disease, gastrointestinal disorders, immune mediated and infectious disorders, and hematologic diseases.

Dr. Spielman has written book chapters, journal manuscripts, and hundreds of articles for veterinary websites. She spends her free time with “Phil,” her hound, running, hiking, and just hanging out. She is also an avid sports fan.
