Dr. Chalfant furthered her veterinary education at the University of Minnesota as an intern after graduating from veterinary school. In the land of ten thousand lakes, she developed an enthusiasm for the advanced diagnostics and therapeutics that are the mainstay of emergency and critical care medicine. Of particular interest to Dr. Chalfant is the emergency presentation of endocrine disorders.

Dr. Chalfant is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia. She moved to the Boston when she joined the Emergency and Critical Care team at VESCONE in November of 2001.

In her spare time, Dr. Chalfant enjoys biking, obtaining some quiet time while gardening, taking her dog on walks in the woods, gettin’ down while swing dancing, and catching all the NFL action during the season.
