Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarians

We are looking for an emergency and critical care veterinarian to join our team. We offer our doctors state of the art medical equipment including a full laboratory with blood gas, coagulation profiling, blood bank, a wide array of monitoring tools including a new digital ECG telemetry, new multiparameter monitors, surgical ventilators, pulse oximetry, capnography, oxygen monitors, tonometry, direct/indirect blood pressure, ultrasound, endoscopy, defibrillation, and digital radiography. Most important of all, our entire nursing staff is certified, including 3 VTS (ECC) nurses.  Our very uniquely designed 18,000 sq. ft. hospital houses a 20 X 50 ft. treatment area featuring separate nurses/doctors stations, 4 glass enclosed intensive care units, conference room, 2 special procedures suites, radiology suite and 3 large surgical suites. Located in our building is the New England Veterinary Oncology Group, complete with CT scanner and linear accelerator.

An interest in practice growth and success are essential. Compensation is a base salary plus commission and an opportunity for a future buy in.

Dermatologist

We are looking for a Dermatologist to join our team of excellent specialists. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to be able to manage his or her own practice under our roof. Compensation would be percentage based. You would be able to utilize our excellent staff, equipment and facility--which includes a full in house lab, computerized record system, full imaging services, surgical suites and supplies. You will also have access to our specialists, emergency doctors and a large referring oncology group located in our facility. We welcome the chance to cross refer to an in- house Dermatologist because there is such a great need in this region. We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Neurologist

We are seeking a full time boarded or residency trained neurologist/neurosurgeon to head up our new Neurology Dept. Our state-of-the art facility utilizes a range of diagnostic imaging modalities including film/digital radiography, new ultrasound and CT, Eklin digital EKG telemetry, rigid and flex  video endochoscopy, full in house lab, oximetry, capnography, full laboratory, blood bank, NIBP/IBP monitoring. Once the the right candidate is hired, we will begin the steps to acquire an MRI machine with their imput.

This position has the advantage of a 4-day workweek with flexible time off for board preparation, if needed. Compensation is percentage based with a possibility for buy in.

Internist

We are looking for aboarded or residency trained internist to join our Internal Medicine Deptartment. Our 18,000 sq ft state-of-the art facility utilizes a range of diagnostic imaging modalities including film/digital radiography,  new ultrasound and CT, Eklin digital EKG telemetry, rigid and flex  video endo/rhino/bronchoscopy, full in house lab, oximetry, capnography, full laboratory, blood bank, NIBP/IBP monitoring.   

Part and full time positions are available. Compensation is percentage based.

Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Technicians

Full time emergency room technician
Schedule consists of three 12 hour shifts (off 4 days a week).

Part time overnight & weekend emergency room technician

This person will be asked to fill in, when needed, for overnights (7p-7a) and weekends (10a-10p, 2p-2a). Being able to do overnights is required.

REQUIREMENTS:
Certified veterinary technicians with a minimum of two years in specialty practice in an ER/ICU room is required. If not certified, a minimum of 5 years experience working as a veterinary technician is required.

A VESCONE technician is someone who is self-motivated, a quick thinker and someone who is able to multi-task efficiently. This person needs to have very good existing technical skills and should be able to perform accurate physical exams, place IV catheters, calculate drug doses and perform all treatments on a patient with little to no assistance. Good communication skills and compassion a must.

Surgery/Anesthesia Technician Supervisor

We are looking for a qualified individual with excellent leadership, skills, communication and mentoring capabilities who will serve as the Head Technician in the Surgery/Anesthesia Department.

Interested candidates will provide continuous leadership for the surgery department nursing staff and liaisons as well as aid in the organization and daily function of the surgery department. On call rotating schedule including some weekends and holidays required.

REQUIREMENTS:
Associate or Bachelor degree from an AVMA accredited program in veterinary technology with current CVT status. Veterinary Technician Specialty anesthesia or CVT eligible to sit for the VTS examination in anesthesia is required. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in anesthesia and training under a board certified veterinary anesthesiologist or board certified VTS in anesthesia.  Candidates must have experience in a leadership position.

Full Time Veterinary Surgical Assistant

The Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center of New England (VESCONE) is looking for a qualified individual with excellent organizational and communication skills to work in the surgical department.  Interested candidates will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of the induction and surgical areas for anesthetic induction and surgery

  • Proper care and handling of equipment, instruments and supplies,

  • Cleans, checks, orders and resupplies surgical area and support/storage areas.

  • Recognizes and communicates breaks in aseptic technique.
