First Aid Classes

Each year VESCONE teaches a number of Pet First Aid classes, both on and off site, to those who are interested in knowing what to do in an emergency.

Pet First Aid: Dogs are curious creatures that can, and will, get into just about anything. Knowing what is potentially toxic and how to recognize if there is something wrong with your pet is extremely important. Here are some of the things you will learn in our interactive First Aid Course:

  • Hands-on Pet CPR
  • How to bandage a wound
  • What to do when your pet is choking

Common Diseases & Injuries to Your Pet: At some point your pet will become injured or ill. It is important to understand some of the most common diseases and injuries that dogs and cats may experience. Understanding what to look for and how to tell if it is an emergency will allow you to be more prepared for your pet. This is a "rapid fire" class that reviews everything from an ear infection to a broken leg. Because this class is lecture-based only, no dogs are allowed.

There is a $20 fee to attend Pet First Aid--100% of funds will be donated to an animal related charity. Space is limited so please register you, and if applicable your pet, early. Call 781-684-8387 to register.
