Make a Handy Cautery or Suction Holder for Surgery


1. Use an empty 60cc syringe case
2. Poke a hole in each side of the top (you can use a 16g needle for this)
3. Feed a 4-5” piece of cerclage wire through each hole
4. Twist each end of the wire to attach it to the syringe case, making a ‘handle.’
5. This can be autoclaved in each pack, and the surgeon can attach it to the surgical drape with towel clamps.
