Dr. Nieves is a 1984 graduate from the Oklahoma State University, Center for Veterinary Health Sciences. She received her Master’s of Science in Veterinary Surgery from Iowa State University. Dr. Nieves is trained in both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, but has a special interest in orthopedic and maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Spielman became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1992. Prior to joining the staff at VESCONE, Dr. Spielman was on staff at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital where she directed the internship for over a decade, supervising and mentoring over 125 interns as well as hundreds of veterinary students.

Radiology Rounds: Case Studies”

A variety of case studies will be discussed, using cases from the VESCONE case files and cases provided by the attending veterinarians.  Topics to be discussed include radiographic findings, diagnostic impressions and differential diagnoses.

Dr. Whitely received her DVM from Perdue University and her radiology residency at the University of Minnesota. In 1990, she became a diplomate at the ACVR. Prior to arriving at VESCONE Dr. Whiteley worked at Veterinary Imaging Specialists in Saint Louis, Missouri. She has also been a guest lecturer at Sanford Brown Technical College in Missouri for the past nine years
